Our friends and clients at Bank of North Georgia and Bank of Coweta have always been among the most civic-minded folks we know. So, it is no surprise that they are once again spearheading a holiday toy drive to collect new, unwrapped toys for children across metro Atlanta. And each of the 46 Bank of North Georgia and Bank of Coweta branches has chosen its own local charity as the recipient of this holiday good will. Read More

We hope everyone has a fabulous day!
The times in which we live are still pretty challenging. Double-digit unemployment. Depressed housing values. The stock market on a roller coaster path. With all of that, do any of us have as much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving as we have in years past? Read More
Brilliant sunshine, cool temperatures and a picturesque course meanders through Chateau Élan’s fabulous vineyards, stables, golf courses and beautiful estate homes. This Saturday’s 2nd Annual Vineyard Run for Hope has all the ingredients of a great day for a wonderful cause – raising money for Gwinnett’s Children’s Charities.
Starting and ending at the beautiful Chateau Élan Winery, the Vineyard Run will include a 10.2K, 5K and 1K Tot Trot. The 10.2K and 5K participants will travel along a picturesque course through the resort and into the gates of the Chateau Élan neighborhood. Participants will enjoy fabulous views, but more importantly the participants, sponsors and advertisers will be raising money in support of the Gwinnett Children’s Shelter. Entry fees are discounted for pre-registrations, and runners can register at participating local businesses or online at: http://www.active.com/running/braselton-ga/vineyard-run-for-hope-5k102k-and-1k-tot-trot-2011
All proceeds benefit the Gwinnett Children’s Shelter. The Shelter, which annually serves more than 200 young people residentially, grew out of a volunteer effort involving PTA, business and community leaders who recognized a need for services for abused and abandoned children. The Shelter depends on community donations to provide these services, and the annual Chateau Élan Tour of Homes event and now the Vineyard Run for Hope have been among their largest fundraisers for several years. Over the past nine years, the Chateau Élan community has welcomed thousands of visitors and raised over $1,000,000 for this very special charity.
Now that’s our idea of a good corporate citizen.

If you google “The Future of Advertising” you’ll probably see 30 to 40 articles by experts opining where the industry is heading. It’s scary for me because, after reading some of these articles, I marvel at how little I understand about the future of advertising. There are literally dozens of examples of what I don’t get, but here’s one I found that left me scratching my feathery head – I understood all the words and it sounded pretty slick, but if I had to explain it, I’d flunk.
