With the objective of increasing usage, First Citizens introduced a series of new bank cards, each with different benefits and capabilities. With the myriad of bank card options available to consumers, Frederick Swanston was tasked with the assignment of designing the cards in a way that would make them more appealing, and somehow appear to be more than they are.
With so many credit card options available to consumers, our approach was to design the cards with an upscale look communicated exclusivity. We gave the cards a very sleek, modern look designed to appeal to multiple audience segments, and supported the launch with online banner advertising.
The new designs and supporting campaign generated a 15% increase in card applications and usage.
