Avatar Tom & Graham
1_5starsGrahamThe Adidas commercial was a typical sports promo. It had the inspiring background voice, “take it, no one owns today.” It had the generic, epic sports shots. I don’t know what it was exactly, maybe because I am just not really that into sports, but I really couldn’t wait for this ad to end.

1_5starsTom4The Adidas ad series’ tagline is “take it” – what the heck does that mean and how does it relate to Adidas? It’s far too esoteric for anyone to understand the connection to Adidas. However, when you view the other Adidas commercials, it makes sense. “Take it” underlines the idea that Adidas stands with these tough and talented athletes worldwide. The ad is interesting, well done artistically and clearly aligns world-class athletes with Adidas.

Meet the Authors

The 18 year old

A rising student of film, Graham measures all advertising against his favorite movie scenes. So a commercial with a good car chase plays well. Better with an explosion. And funny. It should be funny. So a speeding car that explodes in an amusing way will sell product.
